What we collect

We do not track you for advertising. Scotflix runs no advertising cookies, no analytics scripts and no third party trackers. We do not sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.
Card details
We never receive your full card number. Payments are processed by Stripe, who are the controller of your payment data for that purpose. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of providers, who act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes:
- Hiway, who provide the platform Scotflix runs on, including accounts and the catalogue.
- Stripe, for payments.
- [CONTENT DELIVERY PROVIDER], who store and stream the video.
- [EMAIL PROVIDER], who send our transactional emails.
Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are covered by UK adequacy regulations or by standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and its viewing history for as long as your account is open. If you close it, we delete the account and its viewing history within 30 days, except for records of purchases, which we keep for six years because tax law requires it.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or send it to another provider. You can also object to processing we do on the basis of legitimate interests.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Children
Scotflix is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
